I have had to think very carefully about this article before I put it into words.. You don’t expect some things in the world that we live in dominated by selfishness, the ‘I want now’ society and the ‘get what you can, while you can’ overthrow from the Maggie years. So here goes…
A couple of [...]

Father Orthoduck recently received a note in which a person commented on the problems that an ex-con faces, and there is significant truth in what that person said.
The problem is an offshoot of the popular religiosity subject which Fr. Obregón is beginning to discuss on his Orthocuban posts. In the USA officially we believe that [...]

I have a problem, I am not a pacifist, but very close to one. I am a person who has been in two professions where I have been given the power to use minimal force in order to achieve my objective when life is at risk. The point I am bothered about is this: I [...]

It isn’t getting better is it? Now we have the anti-terrorist operation in the North West apparently drawing a blank, and the arrest and release on bail of 114 potential environmental protesters in the East Midlands (on suspicion of conspiracy, which is a far more serious matter than the substantive offence). [...]

I have commented at various times my objections to Penal Substitution, and have included articles within this blog about the same subject. Below is a continuation with some interesting comments to boot. Please look at the link below at Kingdom Grace. Some people can express themselves about the same subject and position far better than [...]

Thousands of people have attended a series of rallies across NI to show their anger at the murders of two soldiers and a policeman.
Silent protests took place in Belfast, Lisburn, Newry, Downpatrick and Londonderry.
A peace vigil is also to be held in Craigavon, County Armagh, near the site where Constable Stephen Paul Carroll was shot [...]

As I mentioned yesterday, the mood has changed overnight in Northern Ireland. Amongst those good people, are a small destructive number who do not want to go with the majority and get decisions made through democracy. This second incident is reported here http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/northern_ireland/7933990.stm .
The one thing I am really hoping for is that the [...]

I spoke to my eldest yesterday on Skype. We tend to do that once a week whilst he is in Belfast doing a Phd. He was very quiet and disappointed. He had just returned from a conference in the south and had news about the two British soldiers that had been murdered in Belfast. The [...]

The 1990 Strangeways Prison riot was a 25-day prison riot and rooftop protest at Strangeways Prison in Manchester, England. The riot began on 1 April 1990 when prisoners took control of the prison chapel, and the riot quickly spread throughout most of the prison. The riot and rooftop protest ended on 25 April when the [...]

This is a direct lift from Confessions of a Recovering Pharisee
rkansas pastors may soon have to worry about more than their flocks’ spiritual battles. After a number of shootings in churches nationwide, should congregants be allowed to bring concealed weapons into their sanctuaries?
Under current Arkansas law, holders of concealed weapons permits can take their [...]
